Symposium on Nonlinear Dynamics in Polymeric Systems
2008
Spring National Meeting of the American Chemical Society to be held in New
Orleans (April 6-10, 2008).
The meeting will be part of the Polymer
Division program.
Abstracts will be due October 28, 2007.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts should be submitted through OASys, the new ACS online abstract submittal
system, available at the ACS meetings page . Upon abstract submission, a record
number will be assigned, which must be used to submit a preprint (this ensures
that abstract and preprint are linked).
Preprint Submission
An abstract must be submitted prior to submitting a preprint (see above).
The Division of Polymer Chemistry, Inc., in cooperation with the ACS Membership
and Publications Divisions, now offers online preprint submission through OASys.
An electronic preprint should be prepared as a word processing document using
the POLY2000 Preprint Template available at the Polymer
Preprints page. The
word processing document file should not be submitted by e-mail or on diskette;
it
must be submitted through OASys, at which time it will be automatically converted
into PDF format and made viewable by the authors. Until the preprint submission
close date, the authors may re-transmit as many revised drafts as necessary
until the PDF document conforms to the required preprint format. After preprint
submission
close date, the PDF file will be reviewed online by the Symposium organizer.
Upon approval by the organizer, the preprint file will be forwarded to the
preprint editors for final acceptance.
Despite Hurricane Katrina, the French Quarter and all major
tourist attractions are in excellent condition.
And April is NOT Hurricane season...
We plan to publish a symposium-series book. In 2002 we organized a symposium
on the same topic. You can find information on the book from
that symposium, including its Table of Contents.
